Her daughter, Liliane Vincy took the lead of the gallery in 1970 and explored new ways until her death in June 2015. She has developed since 1970, an individual way, out of fashion and mainstreams. Live art as an always renewed creative adventure has been the director’s guideline. Earlier, she was about to explore art’s new experimentation fields: installations, videos, sound environments, sociological actions…
Today, Youri Vincy, Liliane’s son, leads the gallery and manages it.
Many installations and exhibitions, among them:
-
Le massacre de la Saint-Barthélémy from
B. B. Lavier in 1973.
- Presentation of the video film
Travel from
Fabrizio Plessi in 1974.
- Hommage à Walt Whitman from K. Karahalios in 1975: 4 oxcart’s wheels on a “parterre” of green grass.
- Stickers from Sarmiento “Argent” in 1980, pasted inside and outside the gallery.
- Points d’interrogationfrom from Jonier Marin in 1980.
- La voie lactée from Joël Hubaut in 1982: a pyramid in the sand and a giant “camembert” cheese on the roof.
- Ben entirely covered the front of the Lara Vincy gallery with multi-colored graffitis-writings in 1983 during his exhibition Boîtes et idées.
- Le paradis des jouets from the Dix 10 group in 1984: painted toys on plexiglass sold at the price of the painted item.
- Drapeaux (Flags) from Remo Bianco in 1987.
- Cubomanies from Ghérasim Luca in 1988.
- Série SPA from Aurèle in 1989: Bob the lost dog walks among contemporary art.
- Chess set from Takako Saito in 1989.
Sound environments:
- Tableaux parlants from Remo Bianco in 1976.
- Hasards from Freddy Fabian in 1976: 36 musical and mobile slabs on the floor, connected to a synthesizer and to 36 recorders, music varying with the visitors pass.
- Terremoto from Piero Gilardi in 1990: a kinetic and sonic installation; a simulated earthquake with polyurethane rocks.
Sociological actions:
- In collaboration with Pierre Restany and Alex Mlynarcik: Inter Etrennes in 1972, Argilia in 1977 and Le temps de l’ailleurs in 1994.
- An important exhibition of Mail art in 1979 with Julien Blaine and Pierre Restany.
There also have been many exhibitions dealing with language and writing problems:
- Particularly in 1976, L’art à Vinci from Raymond Hains, imagining a “Pont Pidoux” (owner’s name of “La Palette” at this time), famous café located at the confluence of the “rue de Seine” and the “rue Jacques Callot), the Lara Vincy gallery becoming the “Beaubourg” of the left bank of Paris. From a torn poster representing Mona Lisa, he does a linguistic drift on the placeholders (referring to gallery’s location, between “La Palette” and “L’Aquarelle”, missing today) and on the effect of names (Vincy/Vinci, etc…).
- S’en séparerfrom Gil J Wolman in 1980: thinking on the signature’s value on an artwork.
- Cent pour centfrom Michèle Métail & Louis Roquin in 1996: original text from M. Métail, orchestrated by L. Roquin.
In 1993 and 1994, under the title of Salon de musique, the gallery gathered, in 5 exhibitions, an exploration’s panorama of the “Nouvelle poésie” and the “Nouvelle musique”, since the 60's until the computing experimentations.
